Saturday Community Bike Rides September 03, 2011, 9 AM to Noon Every Saturday, the Big Bear Cycling Association sponsors a Community Bike Ride. There is an In Town Ride for beginners and for intermediate riders there is a Lake Ride. If you are an Advanced Rider, then you'll ride all the way, round trip to Running Springs. This is a great way to see the many wonderful sites around Big Bear Lake, CA. Cyclers meet at the Copper Q restaurant located in The Village at 645 Pine Knot Avenue. Fall Festival at The Convention Center Saturday & Sunday, September 3rd & 4th, 2011 Bring the family and have loads of fun while you enjoy excellent food and live entertainment. Music in the Mountains Summer Concert Series September 3rd, 2011, 5:30 to 9:30 PM A tribute to the late John Denver, who's timeless music will be performed by Jim Curry. The music of John Denver has withstood the test of times and is still loved by so many people, both old and young. The voice of Jim Curry was in the movie Take Me Home: The John Denver Story, which was a CBS made for TV movie. Proceeds help support the National Forest Association. This is the final concert of the Summer Concert Series, so don't miss it. Ice Cream Safari at Moonridge Animal Park September 3rd, 2011, 11 AM to 2 PM Come enjoy the tastes and flavors of your favorite Ice Cream at this event being hosted by the Friends of the Moonridge Zoo. Event takes place at the Moonridge Animal Park, where you can walk through and see all of the animals as you stop at each of five Ice Cream Stations, each featuring a different flavor to savor. This tasty adventure in flavor is sponsored by Get The Burger, North Pole Fudge & Ice Cream Company, and Rite Aid. Event participation is $5, and standard park admission rates apply. Monday Cycling Rides September 5th, 2011 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM The Big Bear Cycling association hosts two rides on Mondays. There is a 10 mile ride starting at 5:30 PM at the Mountain Fitness Gym.
